Manasota Key is an old Florida feel barrier island off the coast of Englewood where there are no high-rise condos, no traffic lights, just a two-lane road and pristine beaches. There are low-rise condos and apartments on the south end of the island. The north end has private homes on one-acre lots, tucked behind lush tropical foliage.
Many consider Manasota Key to be one of Florida's best kept secrets. Th key is only moments away from the mainland and is very accessible by the causeway. It has managed to maintain its tropical flavour by steering away the intense tourist traffic that results from high rise development. Instead, you will find low rise accommodations on the south end of the Key and breathtaking private homes overlooking the Gulf and Lemon Bay as you travel north.
Manasota Beach and Blind Pass offer beach goers numerous amenities. Manasota Beach boasts 14 acres of gulf front beach and sand dunes, with special areas set aside for boardwalks, restrooms, sheltered tables, and areas for barbeque.
